49ers fire Raye

I'm not sure the firing of offensive coordinator Jimmy Raye solves anything.
But a move had to be made by the 49ers. And Mike Singletary wasn't going to fire himself.
You can't blame Raye for all the mental mistakes the 49ers have made on the field. But someone has to take the fall for this embarrassing start.
A shakeup was needed. More could be forthcoming. But not at quarterback. That's not where the problem lies.
Only five teams in NFL history have made the playoffs after an 0-3 start, only one after an 0-4 start.
The 49ers are headed to Atlanta on Sunday.
