All-County

The All-County volleyball and football teams are on the horizon, hopefully before Christmas.
A couple of things to keep in mind.
Such as being named to an all-league team has no barring on The Herald's team. All-league teams are nothing but political battles.
And you're not entitled a certain number of All-County players just because you won a league title. The goal from the three of us in the sports department is to try and pick the best players at their positions.
Is there going to be somebody deserving left off? Probably. It's not done on purpose. We have 15 high schools to pick from. There will be 24 football players chosen. An argument could be made for 48.
But that's an all-league team, not an all-county team.
