No one pounds the ball harder than Salinas. But when it wasn't working, why didn't it dink a few balls over the net just to keep Notre Dame honest?
Stubbornness I suppose.
The Spirits made the proper adjustments from the teams first meeting. It wasn't that Salinas was not getting its swings. It just couldn't get them to fall to the ground.
The more balls Notre Dame picked up, the more mistakes Salinas made.
Don't be surprised to see both teams make extended runs into their respective divisions in the playoffs.
