Nikki DeSerpa needs 28 more kills to go over 1,000 for her collegiate volleyball career at Marist University.
With 47 kills through nine matches this fall, the 5-foot-11 DeSerpa has 972 kills. She also has 23 digs and a pair of service aces for the Red Foxes.
A two-time all-conference selection at Marist, DeSerpa helped Notre Dame to a pair of Central Coast Section titles, earning The Herald's Volleyball Player of the Year honor in 2015.
Sophomore teammate McKinley Fox is seeing more time on the court as a setter for Marist, having compiled 119 assists -- surpassing last year's total.
Fox was a four-year starter at Santa Catalina, earning a spot on The Herald's All-County team three times, and was the Player of the Year in 2017.
