Quarterback Matt Castaneda has compiled nearly 4,000 passing and rushing yards in 20 games for Willamette University.
The former Salinas High quarterback is coming off his best season at Willamette, throwing for 1,654 yards and 10 touchdowns in seven starts.
Castaneda has thrown for 3,117 yards and 17 touchdowns in his career for the Bearcats, while adding another 672 yards and seven touchdowns on the ground.
Castaneda threw for a then Salinas school record 2,436 yards in 2015. His 29 touchdowns remain a single season school mark.
