EJ Rowland

The former Palma High and Hartnell College point guard will begin his 15th season of professional basketball after resigning with Fuenlabrada of the Spanish League.

 The 6-foot-3 Rowland, who was inducted last year into the Russian Basketball Hall of Fame, began his career in the NBA's old D-League before embarking on a career overseas.

 The 36-year-old was the United League Most Valuable Player in 2013 in Russia, leading the league in scoring. He was also the Latvian League postseason MVP in 2013.

 Last year Rowland averaged just under 10 points and 3.5 assists a game for Fuenlabrada. During his MVP season in 2013, he averaged 15.6 points. The year before he led his team in assists (4.6).

 For his career, Rowland is averaging 11.6 points, 3.6 assists, 3.1 rebounds and 1.6 steals for five different teams.

 Rowland led St. Mary's to the NCAA tournament in 2004. He played for the NBA's San Antonio Spurs and Dallas Mavericks Summer League teams in 2005.
