Water polo changes

With Santa Cruz creating its own division, the Gabilan and Pacific Division are wide open this fall in both the boys and girls divisions.
 Stevenson has a talented core returning to make a run at the boys Gabilan, along with Carmel, while Pacific Grove has added water polo this year, and will be a member of the Mission.
 The return of Whitney Allen and Emma Underdown make Santa Catalina an early favorite in the Gabilan for girls.
 The best player in the county might be Salinas' Samantha Reich, who despite playing with a shoulder injury, led the team with 138 steals, 92 goals and 48 assists last fall.
 There are four teams in the Mission Division that didn't win a game last year. One player to keep an eye on in the Mission is the return all-leaguer Laura Vetter of Notre Dame.
