Drew Dalman, who starts today at center in Stanford's season opener against Northwestern, is on the Rimington Trophy collegiate watch list this fall.
The Rimington Trophy watch list is for Division I centers. It is given to the most outstanding center at the end of the season.
A redshirt sophomore, the 6-foot-5, 284-pound Dalman played in seven games last year, starting two at center and two at guard before breaking his hand.
The Herald's Defensive Player of the Year while at Palma in 2016, Dalman was named to the Pac 12 All-Academic first team last fall.
Dalman was a member of The Herald's All-County football team three times. He won the discus at the Gabilan Division finals to help Palma to a track and field team title in 2017.
