North County baseball

I don't know if you can call the Condors a sleeper team this spring. There was an expectation within the program.
Even though North County staggered down the stretch last year, dropping its last three games, there was improvement in the win column from the previous season.
That momentum has carried over into this year, as the Condors are unbeaten in their first four games, opening Cypress Division play with a pair of wins.
North County has gotten clutch hitting at the plate, with Jorge Madrigal belting the teams first homer in two years.
Chris Villarreal has already put together a pair of multiple-hit games while A.J Valdez came up with a clutch run-scoring single.
If the pitching staff continues to throw like it did in the Condors Cypress Division opener, they will chase the programs first league title in 14 years.
