Alisal girls soccer

For all the well-deserved hype that the boys soccer team has received, quietly the Trojans girls team is making a name for themselves.
Piggybacking off last year's Pacific Division title, in which it was unbeaten in 12 games, Alisal is off to a 4-0 start this winter going into tonight's battle at Live Oak, outscoring opponents 16-3.
The Trojans have posted two shutouts while erupting for nine goals in their last game. Jacqueline Medel and her 10 assists from last season are back, along with Bianca Cruz and Yesenia Tinajera
Medel and Cruz are among five different players that have produced goals for Alisal this season, while Tinajera is rounding into shape after an outstanding volleyball season.
Alisal has started a season 4-0 on just three previous occasions, winning a league title in 2003 with a school record 18 wins. That season ended with a postseason loss to Live Oak.
