Saturday's game
North County (3-2) at San Lorenzo Valley (1-5), 2 p.m.
Don't be mislead by the Cougars record. It was forced to forfeit four games for using an electronic devise in the quarterbacks helmet.
As harmless as it may seem, it is a rule.
Rather than sulk, San Lorenzo Valley responded with a 35-18 win last week. The realization is it can still compete for a Cypress Division title.
Having already surpassed last year's entire win total, the Condors are having a resurgence, producing 41 points last week -- their highest total since 2012.
Quarterback Brandon Ducusin, who either ran or threw for four touchdowns last week, has seven rushing touchdown this fall for the Condors.
Stevie Markey has thrown for nearly 800 yards this season for the Cougars, whose 216 points are the most among teams in the Cypress Division.
Konan Van Lear has registered eight sacks for North County, while defensive back Riley Anderson has over 100 tackles and two picks in five games.
Of the four wins San Lorenzo Valley forfeited this year, it had outscored its opponents 164-26. North County has already surpassed last year's entire point total.
