Coming off a redshirt season, Edgar Bonilla has been the No. 5 runner this fall for the San Jose State men's cross country team.
The junior distance ace helped the Spartans to a fifth place team finish as the San Francisco State Invitational, and ran a season best 25:37.80 over 8K at Stanford.
A state meet qualifier in cross country and track at King City, Bonilla earned All-American honors at Hartnell College, winning six straight major meets, including the Northern California finals in 2016.
