 Keeping pace with undefeated Alvarez means both the Trojans and Seaside are in win now mood if either has title hopes dancing in their heads.
 Both have suffered just one Mission Division loss, that coming from Alvarez, who is off to a 5-0 start in league.
 The Trojans had run off eight straight wins before suffering a five-set loss to Alvarez. It's had eight days to think about the setback.
 Seaside, who won the old Pacific Division title last season, has swept its last three opponents since being swept by Alvarez.
 Setter Cecilia Reyes is orchestrating an offensive attack that includes Jocelyn Hernandez, Khrystiana Lynch and Sydney Johnson taking turns pounding the ball.
 Alisal has one of the top defensive back rows in the division in Yesenia Tinajera and Nayeli Munoz, along with Samantha Montelongo and Destiney Plascencia at the net
 Nothing has come easy for the Trojans, who have been involved in three straight matches that went the five sets, and five full set matches this season -- going 4-1 in those matches.
 Seaside has not played a five set match this year, having played four straight matches that went just three sets.
