Saturday morning thoughts

Sole searching: After posting a shutout in its season opener, King City has given up 83 points in its last two games after a 28-0 loss to Christopher.
Consecutive points: Pacific Grove ran off 26 straight points in blanking Stevenson. With 72 points on the season, it has surpassed last years entire point total three games into the fall.
Impression: North Salinas' defense swarmed to the ball, shutting down Monterey in a 20-18 win, its third straight win.
Second half heroics: Tied at seven, Alisal ran off 21 straight unanswered points in defeating Seaside 28-7.
Statement: Nerves have been calmed a bit after Salinas avoided an 0-3 start with a 25-0 shutout over Milpitas.
Numbers: Lupe Sanchez produces three touchdowns three different ways for North County. Matt Morales rushes for two touchdowns for North Salinas. Abraham Hernandez scores two touchdowns for Salinas. Julian Renteria tosses a pair of touchdowns for Alisal. Pacific Grove posts its second shutout of the season.
