A returning starter at linebacker for Alisal, Hernandez averaged nearly eight tackles a game last fall in helping the program to its first ever postseason win.
Hernandez could also line up as a fullback and be used as a lead blocker for the Trojans, who ran the ball 75 percent of the time last season.
