Drew Dalman

With nationally ranked Stanford’s season less than two weeks off, redshirt freshman Drew Dalman has been taking all the first team snaps.

The 6-foot-5, 275-pound Dalman spent last season on the scout team, getting a grasp of the offense, while building strength to withstand the punishment of the collegiate game.

Dalman, The Herald’s Defensive Player of the Year in 2016, is following a similar path to his dad, who also earned a starting job at Stanford as a redshirt freshman, ultimately playing all five line positions for the Cardinal before embarking on an eight-year NFL career with the 49ers.
