The North Salinas senior spent most of last year on the defensive side of the ball, where he can get after the quarterback, drop back in coverage or clamp down on the run.
Barragan provides stability in a defense starting from scratch. He'll be a menace in the middle of the Vikings defense, with a knack for finding the ball.
