Returning to the sport nearly a decade after her last high school race, Diaz Leal went out and won the Coast Conference title, helping Hartnell to a spot in the state championships.
The teams No. 1 runner most of last season, Diaz Leal will be a threat to dip under 19 minutes this coming fall on the Panthers challenging 3.01 mile course.
