A decade long professional baseball career in Italy has turned into a managing position for Jack Santora, who is guiding the Los Angeles Angels Arizona Rookie League team.
Santora, who played in two World Baseball Classics for Team Italy, has guided the team to a 30-26 start, where the Angels sit four games behind the Giants Rookie League team in the Arizona League’s East Division.
A Monterey High graduate, Santora was a shortstop at UCLA before being drafted in the 19th round by the Arizona Diamondbacks in 1991, getting as high as Triple A,
