Aly Gomonet and Marisa Given are putting together strong first seasons for the UC Davis softball team.
Gomonet is hitting .316 as the teams starting shortstop, while Given is spraying the ball around the field at a .284 clip, recently hitting her first collegiate home run.
Both have driven in six runs this year with Gomonet second on the team in runs scored with 14.
Given, who spent her first season at nationally ranked Oregon, sports a .964 fielding percentage in the outfield, while Gomonet has a .960 percentage at shortstop.
Both were a part of Notre Dame’s CCS Division III title teams in 2014 and 2015. Gomonet helped the Spirits to a Division II crown last spring.
