Inaugural twilight track invite at North County

The first of its kind in Monterey County will unfold Friday with the inaugural twilight track and field invitational at North County.
Named the O-Condon Invitational, in honor of former long-time coaches Roger O'Sullivan and Keith Condon, the meet is expected to attract 20 schools.
Condon was the schools first track coach in 1978, even before there was a track. O'Sullivan spent 26 years as a coach for the program. The pair helped the Condors to 36 boys and girls league titles.
North County's all-weather track was completed in October, making it one of the nicest facilities in the county.
Among the schools making the trip include Riordan, Mission Prep of San Luis Obispo, Bert Harte of Angels Camp and South Tahoe.
