Carmel-Pacific Grove softball

The circumstances are not ideal for the Padres in their Mission Trail Athletic League battle, having not played a game in 15 days.
Meanwhile, Pacific Grove has rattled off nine consecutive wins, including a pair last week to remain undefeated in the MTAL.
Part of that winning streak included a signature 6-4 win at Carmel on March 23. Duplicating the feat would be a statement.
The Padres are 28-3 in league play over the last three years, with two of those losses being hung on them by Pacific Grove.
Behind the powerful bat of Danielle Pasquariello, the Breakers are averaging 10 runs a game during their nine-game winning streak.
Bound for Florida Atlantic University on a softball scholarship, Pasquariello has put together three straight games with three or more hits, including two bombs and 11 runs batted in.
It's difficult to pitch around Pasquariello, as the entire lineup is stinging the ball, starting with Diana Hughes, Vada Courtney and Alana Henden.
Before going on its hiatus, the Padres bats were warming up behind Jocelyne Bruno, Kendra Hyles, Rachael Carroll and Kristin Cardinale.
Carmel will likely turn to Jessica Pavloff or Jaclyn Hyles in the circle, while Parker Llantero will throw for the Breakers
In the teams last meeting, Rachel Consiglio ripped four hits and drove in four runs for Pacific Grove, who is 5-0 at home this spring.
