Alvarez softball

You could suggest that a stronger non-league schedule prepared the Eagles for league play.
You can clearly make the argument that beating San Benito for the first time in school history in a non-league meeting was a massive confidence builder.
Or you can simply make the point that Alvarez is the class of the Pacific Division.
In four league games, it has outscored opponents 36-2. The Eagles have two hurlers they've put their trust in with Giana Deleon and Stephanie Vasquez taking turns putting zeros up on the scoreboard.
But this team can also rake. Aliyah Robles is chasing the teams triple crown, leading them in average while hitting four homers and driving in 22 runs.
Melissa Belnas has stung the ball all spring while Vasquez and Faith Alvarez have gotten into the act at the plate.
Keeping their focus will be critical as the Eagles are not only chasing their first title in 12 years, but potentially their first ever undefeated league season.
