With 27 home runs this spring, the 14th ranked Otters have surpassed last year's entire team total - 27 games into the season.
Hayden Duer, who shares the single-season home run record at CSUMB with 13, has 11 this spring while San Benito grad Jacob Tonascia has belted nine.
Tonascia is chasing the triple crown for the Otters, leading the team with a .386 average, and a team high 37 runs batted in.
The Otters (20-7) are hitting .306 as a team, with Pacific Grove product Kyle Czaplak hitting .322 in his first full season in three years.
Colton Fletcher and Ethan McRae have solidified the rotation for CSUMB, with Fletcher sporting a 5-1 mark with a 2.74 earned run average, and McRae 3-0 with a 3.08 ERA.
Connor Fabing has been sensational out of the bullpen with a 1.76 ERA. The left-hander is 3-0 with three saves while Greg Steinbeck sports a 3.18 ERA in seven appearances.
