King City-Pacific Grove girls hoops

 While the non-league season was a struggle for Pacific Grove, it closed with a rush. That momentum has carried over into the Mission Trail Athletic League season.
 The Breakers are one of three teams still undefeated in league play going into tonight's battle with 1-1 King City.
 What has changed for Pacific Grove is players understanding their roles and contributions coming from throughout the lineup.
 Vada Courtney has been a spark at the top, leading the team in scoring while Florida Atlantic bound softball standout Danielle Pasquariello has put together a handful of double-doubles.
 Yet, the focus isn't on just one person. Parker Llantero is coming off a 17 point effort while Kulaea Tulua and Tati Ruiz have been tenacious on defense.
 The momentum King City built in opening the season with two straight wins was derailed by a loss to undefeated Soledad last Tuesday.
 Three of the Mustangs four overall wins this season have come on the road. Seniors Delaney Carroll and Megan Flores are both averaging over 10 points a game.
 King City has not shoot particularly well from the outside, meaning points are coming in the paint or at the free throw line.
