Salinas girls soccer

Once again the reigning three-time Gabilan Division champion Cowboys aren't shying away from a beefed up non-league schedule.
The purpose is simply. Getting to the next level is more than just about winning league titles. There is a bigger goal for Salinas and that's to play at an elite level.
The Cowboys will go into league play riding a 14-game unbeaten streak. Over the last three years in the Gabilan Division, they are 30-1-4.
However in the postseason, Salinas is just 1-3 over the last three years. Not surprisingly, two of those teams it faced in the postseason are on the non-league schedule.
The Cowboys have one of the more dynamic scoring threats in the area in Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo bound Brooke Oleson, who opened the season with a hat trick.
A sprinter in track, Oleson is one of the fastest players on the field. It doesn't hurt having two-time Gabilan Division Player of the Year Kim Chin distributing you the ball.
The Cowboys are one of the fastest teams in the area with hurdler Taylor Burbank coming off an 11 goal season. Goalie Isabella Perez is back between the pipes, with 14 saves in two matches.
