Soledad-Stevenson football

Saturday's game
Soledad (6-3) at Stevenson (2-5), 2 p.m.
It's starting to look a lot like last year for the Aztecs, who can clinch no worse than a share of the Mission Division title with a win.
Last season Soledad started 0-2 and went 10-1 from that point, enroute to the programs first ever Central Coast Section Division IV title.
After an 0-2 start this season, the Aztecs are 6-1 and currently riding a three-game winning streak, with a postseason spot locked up.
Stevenson has been playing most of the second half with just 17 players because of injuries, falling 55-12 last week to Scotts Valley. It's been outscored 125-18 in its last three games.
Emmanuel Ortega needs 41 yards to go over 1,000 yards for the third straight season for Soledad while Robbie Santa Ana needs two touchdown passes to break the single-season school record.
Behind Jaycob Olivas and Victor Ocampo, the Aztecs defense has allowed just one touchdown in the last three games.
What a difference Aaron Rodriguez makes in the Soledad secondary, as the senior has three picks in three games since his return from an injury.
Junior quarterback Alex Murray has been a bright spot for the Pirates, having accounted for eight touchdowns this year.
