Matt Castaneda

 Former Salinas High quarterback Matt Castaneda has been a bright spot in a winless season for the Willamette football team.
 The sophomore is completing 57 percent of his passes for the Bearcats, throwing for 1,126 yards and six touchdowns in six starts.
Castaneda is also the teams second leading rusher with 308 yards and five touchdowns, accounting for 11 of the Bearcats 21 touchdowns this fall.
 During his senior season at Salinas, Castaneda set single season records for passing yards (2,436) and touchdowns (29).
