Emilio Martinez

Freshman tailback Emilio Martinez was named the Muscle Milk Student Athlete of the Week for the University of San Diego football team.

The Palma prodigy has had an impactful year on the 8-2 playoff bound Toreros, leading the team with 847 rushing yards and eight touchdowns this fall.
Martinez also has 17 catches for 150 yards and has returned 16 kickoffs for 411 yards, giving him a team leading 1,408 all-purpose yards for the Toreros.
Martinez rushed for a school record 76 touchdowns in three seasons at Palma, including a single-season school record 2,482 yards last year and 39 touchdowns. He was an all-state selection and The Herald’s All-County Offensive Player of the Year.
