Emilio Martinez

Freshman tailback Emilio Martinez leads the University of San Diego football team in all-purpose yards with 1,031 through eight games.

Martinez has rushed for a team high 690 yards, averaging 5.7 yards a carry. He also leads the team in kickoff return yards with 263 for a 23.8 yard average, and has nine catches for 79 yards as a receiver.
Last year Martinez rushed for 39 touchdowns and nearly 2,500 yards in leading Palma to a Northern California Division 4A bowl game. He is the schools all-time leader in touchdowns and rushing yards.
