Alisal football

The family atmosphere that Alisal preaches extends beyond the football program.
Alumni, the student body and parents are united as one.
Players weren't the only ones shedding tears after an historic year came to an end Saturday in a CCS Division IV semifinal loss to Christopher.
Parents, embracing their kids, couldn't hold back tears. Neither could most of the coaching staff, who helped take Alisal into uncharted waters this fall.
Emotions aside, the Trojans will wake up Sunday, look in the mirror and say 'wow'.
It was fun.
Historic means records -- such as a six-game winning streak and the programs first ever postseason win.
The 0-3 start humbled Alisal, but it didn't keep them from trusting the process that head coach Cesar Chaidez preached, or the belief that things would turn around.
Once it did, it snowballed. The Trojans didn't suffer another loss after Sept. 22 until Saturday.
Chaidez thanked the seniors for laying down the foundation, reminded those coming back that we're just starting to scratch the surface in our potential.
Chaidez reminded his players of one thing before breaking huddle for the final time.'
"You will always be remembered as the team that won the programs first ever playoff game,'' Chaidez said. "That can never be taken away from you.''
