Ronnie Turner

A year away from the game hasn’t curtailed Ronnie Turner’s talents, as the receiver is second on the University of Alabama-Birmingham football team in receptions with 21.

The 6-foot-4 Turner has 180 receiving yards, averaging just under nine yards a catch. He is still looking for his first touchdown as a Blazer. Turner sat out last year, as the program was reestablished this fall after being shut down for a season.
Turner was an all-conference receiver at Hartnell in 2014 and 2015, setting school records for receptions and receiving yards in a career.
 As a senior at Seaside High, he was a member of The Herald’s All-County football and basketball teams.
