North Salinas-San Benito football

Friday's game
North Salinas (1-7) at San Benito (5-3), 7:30 p.m.
Pride, overcoming adversity and playing for each other have been brought up during the Vikings six game losing streak, in which they have been outscored 191-22 in the first half this year.
While San Benito is averaging 30 points a game in five wins, that number dwindles to 8.2 in its three losses this fall.
In fact, the Balers have been outscored 76-25 in their last two games to fall out of title contention in the Gabilan Division.
Jonathan Gonzalez continues to be a workhorse for San Benito with nearly 700 rushing yards. He is also second on the team in receiving yards.
Ritchie Reyes and Jeff Robles have combined for 68 catches for nearly 800 yards for North Salinas, while Tim Hunter has over 600 yards in total offense.
The Vikings are just 2-9 since being moved back into the Gabilan Division. They have not scored a point in the first half in league play this fall.
