Lizzy Tardieu has surpassed her single-season career high for digs for the University of San Diego volleyball team in its first 14 matches this fall with 170, averaging a team high 3.85 digs a set.
The senior libero is on pace to record more digs this year than her previous three years combined (322). She is also just a handful of assists shy of surpassing her career totals for sets, and is among the team leaders in service aces this fall with seven.Tardieu is one of six players to have taken part in all 40 sets this fall for the 17th ranked Toreros.
A four-time member of The Herald’s all-county volleyball team at Santa Catalina, Tardieu was The Herald’s Female Athlete of the Year in 2014, and an all-leaguer in three different sports.
