Golf finals

 A sign that winter is near is the conclusion of fall sports.
 Of course, it will not feel like winter or fall this afternoon at the Monterey Bay League golf finals as temperatures are expected to get into the 90's at Laguna Seca Golf Course.
 Stevenson went undefeated in dual meet competition behind Antonia Malate and Michelle Xu, both of which will play golf in college next season.
 A threat to the Pirates will come from Santa Catalina and its medalist Coco Chai, while Carmel and Salinas are sleepers in the tournament.
 Chai, who finished in a tie for medalist honors at the CCS finals last fall, was the only county golfer last year to reach the Northern California tournament.
