Palma-Menlo football

Saturday's game
Palma (0-2) at Menlo (2-1), 1 p.m.
 Since falling to defending North Coast Section divisional champion East Nicolaus in its opener, the Knights have outscored their last two opponents 84-13.
 Palma has been outscored 70-13 in its first two games against arguably two of the top five teams in the Central Coast Section.
 Emilo Simbeck has thrown for nearly 400 yards and three touchdowns for Menlo, with no picks in 49 attempts. Aidan Israelski has rushed for 128 yards and three touchdowns in two games.
 The Chieftains have yet to score in the first half this year. Their defense gave up 411 yards on 54 plays against Menlo-Atherton. They have allowed three touchdowns of 55 yards or longer.
 Dating back to last year, Palma has dropped four straight games. It has not lost five straight games since its run of 32 straight postseason appearances began.
