The road to a Coastal Athletic League title goes through Oakwood, who has won three straight titles, going undefeated the last two years.
Dating back to 2014, Oakwood has won 30 straight league matches, with 24 of them being straight sets.
The one program that has given them trouble has been York, who has taken the perennial powers of the CAL to five sets twice in the last two years.
Is this the year the Falcons break down that barrier?
York has jumped out to a 3-0 start in the CAL behind setter Katie Calciano, who had 30 assists and five aces in the teams last win.
Emily Patz and Maddie Sharpe have benefited from Calciano's precise passes, combining for 19 kills on Tuesday. All leaguer Jesslyn de Anda is another weapon at the net.
Where York has been strong is at the serving line, recording 28 aces in three matches this season. Its only two setbacks in league last year came from Oakwood.
