 Practice always seems a little more lively after a win. Yet, maintaining that energy for two weeks is a tall order.
 The Toreadores are looking to rekindle the fire that saw them score the games last 14 points to earn their first win of the year two weeks ago.
 Bye weeks are often a chance to get recharged. Yet, in Monterey's case, it likely would've preferred to have kept playing with the momentum it generated.
 Azjani McGill is as explosive of a runner as there is in the county with an 82 yard touchdown run and a 71 yard touchdown reception.
 A Pacific Division 100 and 200 meter champion last spring as a freshman, McGill has rushed for 270 yards and two touchdowns, and has 79 yards as a receiver.
 Evans Charles is coming off his best game of his career, having completed 14-of-15 for 208 yards and three touchdowns. He also ran for a touchdown.
 More than half of those completions and yards went to Nathaniel Gwin. Having scored 30 points in their one win, the Grizzlies have managed just 38 points in their four losses.
