The former Palma and MPC quarterback will be the director of football operations this year for the University of Idaho.
Reader spent three years as the Vandals quarterback, playing in 27 career games. He threw for 3,343 yards and 21 touchdowns during his career and is eighth all-time at Idaho in pass efficiency.
A graduate assistant last season for the Vandals, Reader also spent two seasons in the Arena Football League, throwing 21 touchdowns in 2016 for the New Orleans Voodoo.
Reader took Palma and MPC to league championships.
