North Salinas-Mountain View football

Friday's game
North Salinas (0-1) at Mountain View (1-0), 7 p.m.
After facing a team that threw four touchdown passes last week, the Vikings will have to adjust to an opponent that threw the ball just seven times in its opener, while rushing for five touchdowns.
North Salinas wasn't shy about airing it out with new quarterback Anthony Aguilar, as the senior put the ball up 47 times, completing 30 for 271 yards in a 40-26 loss to Piedmont Hills.
Mountain View ran off 31 unanswered points last week in its 37-7 win at Monterey. Its defense gets after the quarterback, recording five sacks in its opener.
The Vikings moved the ball against a perennial postseason opponent last week. But a young defense struggled, as did specials, giving up a touchdown on a kickoff after getting to within 13 points.
North Salinas, who gave up over 100 yards rushing to a running back last week, will have to deal with another in Josue Ibarra, who chalked up 102 yards and two touchdowns.
Ritchie Reyes is coming off an 11 reception game for the Vikings. Last year Reyes quietly caught 45 passes.
