Stevenson football

The Pirates are in a quandary as they are without a head football coach 49 days before the start of football practice.
Finding a candidate to step in  from the outside would be a challenge and a risk at his point.
My guess is administration will hire from within the current coaching staff that former coach Bruce Dini assembled -- perhaps on an interim basis.
That would keep things stable for a program coming off its first postseason appearance in 17 years.
The last thing you want to be doing is changing offenses or defensive schemes when your first game is 10 weeks off.
Plus Stevenson traditionally starts two weeks later than other programs because of its border students arriving late. As a result, it only plays a nine-game regular season.
