Boys
 1,600 - Roman Munoz (King City) 4:16.28. Rank: 16th. Top mark: Luis Grijalva (Armijo) 4:10.61. Meet record: German Fernandez (Riverbank) 4:00.29 in 2008. *Note: This is Munoz's second straight state meet appearance in the 1,600. He was a top 10 finisher in the state last fall in cross country.
 400 - Isaiah Blanco (Palma) 49.58. Rank: 23rd. Top mark: Zachary Shimnick (Damien) 46.38. State record: Michael Norman (Vista Murrieta) 45.19 in 2015: *Note: Blanco has a season best of 49.53.
 300 intermediate hurdles - Jonathan Chagnon (Salinas) 39.40. Rank: 25th. Top mark: Joseph Anderson (Upland) 36.58. State record: Reggie Wyatt (La Sierra) 35.02 in 2009. *Note: Chagnon is the first intermediate hurdler from Salinas to qualify for state.

Girls
 400 -- Mikayla Revera (Santa Catalina) 56.31. Rank: 16th. Top mark: Shae Anderson (Norco) 53.67. Meet record: Monique Henderson (Morse) 50.84 in 2000. *Note: This is Revera's third straight trip to the state meet in the 400. Last year she finished ninth. She has a best of 54.86.
 Pole vault - Laurel Wong (Santa Catalina) 13-0. Rank: 4th: Top mark: Rachel Baxter (Canyon) 14-4. State record: Rachel Baxter (Canyon, Anaheim) 14-2 in 2016. *Note: Wong has a best of 13-2.
