OJBA girls win title

The Orlando Johnson Basketball Academy 18-under girls basketball team won the ninth Lake Tahoe Championships, posting a 4-0 record in the tournament.

Members of the team included The Herald’s Female Athlete of the Year in North Salinas graduate Danae Snell and Pacific Division basketball and softball MVP Jordan Olivares of Seaside.
Rounding out the team were Gabrielle Arreola, Alize Barrientos, JJ Chaboya, Daja Mitchell, Tatiana Ruiz, Kulaea Tulau, Sarai Wheeler and Katie Zernicke.
