Cameron Neff

Re aggravating an injury that forced pitcher Cameron Neff to shut down his season this spring for St. Mary’s could jeopardize his draft status in this weeks Major League Baseball Amateur Draft.
Neff elected to pitch through the injury this spring, earning three more wins, including a decision over Cal before the St. Mary’s medical staff shut him down in the final three weeks.
The former Palma standout finished his career at St. Mary’s No. 8 all time in career strikeouts and No. 11 in career wins. Neff has the modern era record for strikeouts in a game for the Gaels with 14 and tossed 32 2/3 consecutive innings without allowing an earned run.
Neff led all freshman four years ago in the NCAA in complete games with five. He earned the win in the teams first ever West Coast Conference title and was the winning pitcher in the tournament title game, clinching St. Marys first trip to the NCAA Tournament.
