Giovanna Kolofer

Granted a medical redshirt year after Tommy John surgery last season, Giovanna Kolofer is having a career year for the University of Delaware softball team.
The junior slugger is hitting a career high .388 for the Blue Hens, leading the team in hits with 38 in 30 starts. Kolofer is second in stolen bases (6) and runs scored (21).
Her 30 career steals at Delaware have her ranked in the top 10 in school history.
Kolofer has also hit two homers and driven in 22 runs this spring. Coming into the season, the third baseman has a career .311 average for the Blue Hens, having scored 47 runs and driven in 44. She has started 116 out of a possible 125 games in her career.
Kolofer was a four year starter at Notre Dame, helping them to a Central Coast Section Division III title in 2013.
