Chris Dalman

Apparently some retired hacks still crave the spotlight.
Chris Dalman's decision to step down as an assistant football coach at Palma isn't so he can take a job with the Seattle Seahawks.
While the former 49ers center-guard does know Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll and offensive line coach Tom Cable, he is not moving to Seattle.
Dalman told me his reasons for stepping down are simple. After 40 years as either a player or coach at the youth, high school, college and NFL level, he wants a break.
 Will he return?
It's possible. But not in the NFL. At least not in the near future. Working 17 hour days is not high on his interest level.
Plus Dalman just bought a house on the peninsula and he'd like to watch his son Drew play over the next four years at Stanford.
In the meantime, Dalman will continue his job as an administrator at Palma
