Sophomore center fielder Victoria Harris is building of off last year’s all conference season at San Diego Christian College, opening the year with a three-hit effort and a diving catch.
Harris was an all Golden State Athletic Conference selection last spring, leading the conference in stolen bases (21) and hits (59), the third best in school history. She also led the team in hitting.A member of The Herald’s All-County softball team in 2014 while at Pacific Grove High, the leadoff hitter was also a second team NFCA all-West Region selection last fall.
A teammate this spring will be former Carmel High and Hartnell College slugger Angie Savoldi, who scored the game winning run in her debut for San Diego Christian last week.
Last year the junior slugger hit over .400 for the Panthers. The third basemen was also a member of the Herald’s All-County softball team at Carmel in 2014.
