Seaside-North County girls hoops

A step towards a league title can be taken tonight when the Condors (6-2) host Seaside (6-1).
The Spartans began the week riding a six-game winning streak, one that included a 51-25 win over North County on Jan. 10 -- the worse loss it has suffered in Pacific Division play.
The Condors, who were upset on Tuesday by Alvarez, have relied on the efforts of Jocelyn Cazarez, Rebecca Castro and Amanda Torres, all of which are averaging over 10 points a game in league play.
With teams putting their effort into slowing down high scoring sophomore Jordan Olivares, Seaside has had to adjust and get more players involved.
The result has seen Alonis Ingram and Deja Gerard become more involved in the attack while Marianne Tuazon has become a rebounding machine.
Seaside is 4-3 overall in games decided by five points or less this season while North County has won its last four games by six points or less.
