Either we're going to have a three-way tie for first with one game left, or Stevenson is going to wrap up no worse than a share of its first Mission Trail Athletic League title in nine years
Guess who Carmel is rooting for?
Pacific Grove has the distinction of handing Stevenson's its only league loss of the year, beating them 51-42 on Jan. 24.
But that was in Pacific Grove.
Tonight's battle is in Stevenson, where the Pirates are undefeated in the MTAL.
Ambreece Gaskins has been on the assault all winter for Stevenson, leading the team in scoring for the third straight year. Fauve Koontz has been a double-double machine inside.
The Breakers have relied on 4-foot-11 outside shooter Vada Courtney, who is averaging nearly 17 points a game this season.
No one has put up more triple doubles this winter than junior Allie Patton, who could find herself defending Gaskins for Pacific Grove.
A spark for the Breakers in the second half of the season has been Kulaea Tulua, who is averaging over 10 points a game in league play.
