North Salinas-Pajaro Valley boys hoops

Two teams that have taken positive steps forward in their programs this year now have an eye on the postseason.
With 15 wins, the Grizzlies are four wins shy of the single-season school record of 19, which can be attained by running the table in the Pacific Division.
North Salinas (12) has its most wins in eight years, with five of its seven league games having been decided by six points or less, including a four-point loss to Pajaro.
Darren Tennant has given the Vikings a presence on the perimeter while Rico Vega has recorded a handful of double-doubles.
The future looks promising for Pajaro as junior Ryan Magbag leads the team in scoring and 3-point goals, while freshman Christian Quintero is averaging 14.8 points in his last five games.
The Grizzlies are 13-2 in their last 15 games. Two of their losses this season are to teams that either won a league title or reached the CCS finals last season.
